Jason Wong is an experienced labour and employment lawyer, with a strong workplace investigations practice.
Jason’s approach to resolving workplace disputes is firmly rooted in the belief that the process is just as important as the outcome. As a workplace investigator, Jason ensures that all parties are given the opportunity to be heard and understood. Participants are confident that Jason’s investigations are conducted in a good faith, balanced, and reasonable manner. Jason is known for his strong analytical and fact-finding skills, in addition to be well-versed in all applicable workplace legislation.
Jason has represented employees and employers before all levels of courts including the Supreme Court of Canada, grievance-arbitration, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. By working alongside all types of workers and employers, Jason’s understanding of the modern workplace forms a critical part of his investigations. Jason’s experience allows him to see workplace disputes from different perspectives, enabling him to conduct investigations that are sensitive to each particular set of circumstances.
Jason is committed to advancing knowledge and best practices in workplace disputes. Jason has written and presented at continuing education events, including at the Ontario Bar Association and the Council of Professional Investigators of Ontario.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a Master of Science, both from the University of Western Ontario. Jason attended law school at the University of Toronto and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017.
Jason is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyer’s Association and the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI), the only accredited workplace investigations training provider in North America.
